Clip Studio Paint is a standard paint program for manga creation and illustration in Japan. They are currently having a sale at their site where you can buy the Paint Pro version for only US$15.00 until the 14th July. It probably sounds like an advertisement so far but the actual reason I’m making this post is because I got all excitable when I saw the cheap price tag and immediately purchased it, only to open it and realize it’s Manga Studio with a different name. I don’t mean it’s ‘like’ Manga Studio… If I have Manga studio open and try to open clip studio, it just directs me to my manga studio window. It seems the only difference is subtle layout and menu configurations. There may be some differences but I haven’t spotted any so far. I’ve been asked numerous times what software I use and I answer Manga Studio 5, which is US$47.99. So if you wanted to get Manga Studio but don’t want to pay that much, I think you should get Clip Studio for $15 while you can because it’s the same program. Anyway I thought you should know! and hope this is helpful.Link: www.clipstudio.net/en/purchase
I'm not yet very acquainted with how it works, but I noticed a lot of the artists I follow have joined Patreon. Do you think I should join? If yes, what would you like me to make available?
It would make me happy to be able to meet that goal for them.
I'm going to try to put more drawings for sale at storenvy but my energy levels are still very low at the moment, so I'm considering taking a small number of commissions too.
If you would like a commission from me (colored works start at $120), and you can pay upfront to paypal (my usual payment method anyway) but genuinely dont mind having to wait a while before the commissions is complete, potentially a long while... (because I still actually have outstanding work to get through first) ...please send me a note : )
As a side note I might be starting a new medication to reduce my fatigue so if it's successful, I might be able to get more done<?>
I have a three month old kitten.
I have a desk with papers and a wacom tablet and pens.
How do you do this? How do you keep the cat from mauling all your work and electronics even when you are out?
I know I am not the only person with this situation, so please help with helpful tips help please
I have to find somewhere safe for my collectables. NOTHING IS SAFE.
My mums looks after me nearly everyday, and stays in touch on the days she can't visit to make sure I'm ok, she's a very caring person but had to stop working with kids because of arm injuries and arthritis, so she decided to create an online shop as something she can do at home! She insisted on selling some things with my art on =-= and will continue to do so... so take a look, your support of any kind would be really awesome at this stage. : )
I'm moving house again, I didn't really want to but it wasn't really my choice this time, I move at the end of the week, so I'll be without internet for a while, so I'm going to do my best to get to and respond to all my messages etc, I've just been unbelievably stressed, please bear with me.
I'm really confused and overwhelmed at the moment. I've been going through a lot and there hasn't been much improvement with my health, in fact lately everything sucks. I'm at least partially sedated a lot of the time and I'm getting worse at organizing and remembering things, and have fallen behind on a lot of things.
If I owe you anything, a commission or something to be mailed.. please forgive me for being disorganized and kindly remind my by NOTE what I owe you, and if possible, other helpful details like amount paid, refs, postal address, or whatever is applicable.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.
This post is to announce that I will no longer be taking commissions, of any kind or at any forseeable time. Taking commissions with poor health and having to make people wait a very long time and being overwhelmed and forgetful has made me feel very guilty and distressed. I will try to continue to sell some drawings on etsy every now and then and maybe try to make some more adoptables. Thank you to those who have shown interest in commissions and to everyone who has been kind, supportive or patient toward me.
I hope the new year is off to a good start for everyone.
I'm in the middle of moving house, I'll be living on my own again, but somewhere much more affordable and closer to everything. \(=O=; )/
Internet people could take up to ten days to reconnect me, but I'm going to try and find a way to upload the headshots and other commissions by then, probably by putting them on a usb and taking them somewhere with internets. Must buy new usb stick asap, my last one was mysteriously mangled beyond repair shortly after I bought it. Both excited and stressed right now, trying not to get overwhelmed, the good news is I get very excited for the christmas season, so that is my positive focus.
I also want to thank everyone (all the nice people) for your kind comments and support. Please don't be offended if I take a while to respond to something or forget to do it, my brain is like a bunch of different jigsaw puzzles bundled together in a huge pile of pieces, except not as fun to work on. (I really like jigsaw puzzles)
I just want to quickly feature a few people:
